Arianna Crippa

Arianna Crippa is a doctoral student at DESY and Humboldt University (Germany). Her journey began in the arts, attending courses at "Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera" (Italy), where she cultivated her passion for painting. Following this, she independently mastered oil painting, blending traditional techniques with a modern perspective. Her path then shifted toward physics, where she earned her master’s degree (cum laude) with a focus on theoretical physics and quantum field theory. Currently pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics, with a thesis on quantum computing 2+1 dimensional quantum electrodynamics, Arianna is also bridging her two passions—art and physics—through collaborations in quantum art projects.

Karl Jansen

Karl Jansen is the head of the Center of Quantum Technology and Applications (CQTA) at DESY Zeuthen in Germany and an ERA Chair holder at the Cyprus Institute in Cyprus. He is a world leading expert in quantum computing and has combined his expertise and knowledge in this field with developing new avenues in quantum art, both in quantum computer music and more recently in quantum painting. As an active jazz guitarist and Theremin player he has a profound knowledge in music which let him most profitably contributing to quantum computer music. Married to an artist painter he is deeply intrigued by art from the past to the modern, culminating in his own activity in quantum art.
